Sherman Oaks is such a beautiful place- and it's pretty wide. Located in the San Fernando Valley, Sherman Oaks covers over 1,000 acres of land, including parts of the Santa Monica Mountains. It's a suburban oasis, really. Home to many Californians looking for a quieter pace while keeping L.A. nearby. Many of the more historical homes in Sherman Oaks were designed and constructed by famed developer William Mellenthin. He was active throughout the 30's and all the way into the 60's. Many of his homes still exist today and are a wonderful reminder of Sherman Oaks history.
